One of the unsung heroes of ServeTrust is Leena’s sister Teena who manages the social ministries. Leena has the vision, drive, and expertise to undertake her remarkable work, but one person
cannot do it alone. Teena works as an able, dedicated supporter, taking a leading role in Serve Trust’s challenging and compassionate undertaking. While not as conversant in English, Teena’s demeanor and obvious abilities shine through to overseas visitors. She is an impressive person, quiet, serene, and eminently capable in all she does. Teena oversees the HIV/Aids, leprosy, aged-care, and TB programs, elementary schools, computer school, and sewing school, freeing Leena to concentrate on village outreach.
Teena’s husband Sam is also vital to the work of ServeTrust. He catches a bus to his government job in another city, a two-hour trip each way. It would be easier for the family to live close to his work, but Sam sees this as his contribution to the work of Serve Trust, enabling Teena to remain in Narasaraopet to work alongside her sister.
Teena completed a Bachelor of Law degree and has enrolled in the BAR association to become a legal advisor for ServeTrust in the future. Her long-term vision is to give legal advice to downtrodden poor people. Teena gives personal financial support for unexpected expenditures of ServeTrust as demonstration of her gratitude. Teena and Sam are grateful for prayers for their son Asheesh, who is attending medical college, and their daughter Aashika, who is pursuing her MBA while also assisting Leena in providing services. Following graduation as a medical doctor, Asheesh has potential to contribute to the work of ServeTrust in future years.
