For many years, ServeTrust has operated a sewing school where women can learn to provide an income for themselves. Excitingly, in the last year as part of ServeTrust’s Next 30 initiative to empower women and youth, a new sewing center opened in Narasaraopet creating an outlet to put these skills to work. The center serves as a workspace and a developmental resource for those who are looking to enhance their skills and to generate income. Currently, approximately 30 individuals use the center, most of whom are women. Most of the users already have basic sewing knowledge and are looking to improve their livelihood opportunities by producing products they can market. Instructional guidance is also available.

Thanks to everyone who supported the Next 30 initiative, ServeTrust is now able to provide this accessible and supportive space as we seek to serve the marginalized of India.
